McBride Law, LLC provides the highest level of legal services with the feel of a small, family firm.

 
 

The firm was founded on February 1, 2017, in the McBride family’s shared hometown of Montgomery, Alabama.  Rick McBride is the firm’s principal attorney, and he is assisted on a part-time basis by his wife, Jordan McBride, who is also an attorney.  Prior to forming the firm, Rick was a shareholder at the Montgomery-based law firm of Rushton, Stakely, Johnston & Garrett, P.A., where he worked for nearly seventeen years.

About The Attorney 

Rick McBride, Founder & Principal Attorney

 
Good Lawyer in Montgomery, Alabama

Born in Birmingham and raised in Montgomery, Rick McBride attended high school at The Montgomery Academy, graduating in 1989. After high school, Rick attended Princeton University, graduating in 1993 with an undergraduate degree in Political Science. While at Princeton, Rick played football for the Tigers and was a charter member and Vice President of the Zeta Beta Chapter of Kappa Alpha Order.

In 1995, Rick was accepted into the joint J.D./M.B.A. program at The University of Alabama. While there, he was awarded the Fred G. Bostick Endowed Fellowship scholarship, was a student editor of The American Journal of Tax Policy, and served as the lead research assistant for Professor Susan Pace Hamill. In 1999, Rick graduated from Alabama with his J.D. from the School of Law and his M.B.A. from the Manderson Graduate School of Business. Rick then attended New York University from 1999-2000, where he obtained his LL.M. in taxation law.

From 2000 to 2017, Rick practiced law at Rushton, Stakely, Johnston & Garrett, P.A., where he became a shareholder in 2007. In February 2017, Rick left Rushton, Stakely to start McBride Law.

Outside of work, Rick serves as Commissioner of the Southeastern Dixie Youth baseball league, Chairman of the Montgomery YMCA’s Sports Committee, and co-chairman of the Princeton Alumni Schools Committee for the State of Alabama.

Rick is married to the former Jordan Montiel and has three children, Rick III, Elle, and Reid. During his spare time, Rick enjoys coaching his sons in football and baseball and watching his daughter in ballet.

Rick is licensed to practice law in the State of Alabama and is AV Preeminent peer review rated by Martindale-Hubbell, which is the highest rating that an attorney can attain for legal ability and ethics.
